Aims of the Scheme:-

provide a broad based foundation to Engineering and Engineering
related courses for a wide range of individuals, consistent with
their ability and experience. |

enable students who have the necessary knowledge, skills and
attitudes to proceed onto the first year of an Engineering or
technology based course. |

To
encourage self learning and personal development so that the
student is able to pursue further courses successfully. |

To
provide course content, teaching methods and assessment
procedures that students develop an increasing level of
knowledge, independency and intellectual powers as the year
progresses, consistent with Foundation level standards. |
